This book was bought as a present for my old festival, musico, travelling friends, now resident – just about – in South Wales. I read it, too. I read it to fill in the great gap in my knowledge of the subject from the 70s to the 90s, during which I was mostly residing abroad but my friends lived through all those times in Britain and they clearly loved the book, judging from all the ‘Wow’s and, ‘Oh, look: it’s Helen the Hat!’s that emanated from them as they read it. The book is highly-professionally produced and very entertaining and informative, highly recommended for anyone with an affinity with the travelling/festival tribes.

Later I tried to access the publishing company’s website and got all kinds of red warnings about viruses. Oh dear. This doesn’t change my positive review, though.
