Highly readable and satisfying. The characters are interesting, believable and strongly outlined, as are their contributions to the plot. The plot is suitably creepy and far from obvious in its resolution which is also satisfying. I hummed and haaed over demoting the book to a four because, were it not for the inexcusable lack of editing, it would easily have got a 5. Sorry, but … why? I mean, how? OK; I’m making it a 4.5 but I’ve got to express my misgivings, even though I do agree that this book should be a bestseller, which it is.
